Former freelance newspaper and magazine journalist and photojournalist working worldwide on stories about people and places.

Today, I use documentary, fine art and archival photography to illuminate hidden, forgotten, overlooked or unseen stories and voices. I work long-term alongside women survivors of war and displacement, and with North Sea stories of memory and family.

Solo and collaborative bodies of work have been published and exhibited internationally.

In 2024, I formalised my creative practice by gaining a PhD in Media, following a four-year studentship awarded by the North of England Arts and Humanities Consortium.

Born in Hull, I live in East Yorkshire.

I work on commissions, academic research, mentoring, consultancy, talks and workshops.
